Pindah folder instalasi Need For Speed World

Setelah beberapa hari ini keranjingan game balap mobil di track online, Need For Speed World (NFSW), baru nyadar, space di drive system (drive C) kok berkurang. ternyata instalasi game NFSW secara default naro di folder Applocation Data (Windows 7). akhirnya searching cara buat mindah, dan dapet link ini: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/658685.page

link tadi buat windows XP, buat windows seven ada sedikit modifikasi, tapi secara umum, langkah2nya:

1. download aplikasi “junction” di situs microsoft: bisa klik disini

2. extract di folder Windows\System32

3. pindah folder instalasi NFSW dari “C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World” ke tempat lain, misalnya “E:\GAMES”

cukup pindahin folder “Need For Speed World” nya, biarin folder “Electronic Arts” tetap di tempatnya ^_^.

4. buka command prompt, kalo bisa pake hak administrator.

5. jalanin perintah ini:

junction “c:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World” “E:\GAMES\Need For Speed World”

Setelah infeksi virus – Modem Error – Error 720: connection to remote computer could not be established

Tahun baru 2010 disambut dengan tambahan external hardisk baru buat instruktur, hehe. Tapi malang nasibku, hardisk kayaknya pernah di coba di komputer yang ke infeksi virus (entah virus apa).

Sampe pada akhirnya laptop ku jadi korban virus itu. Buat ngebersihin dah gak bisa dari Windows itu juga. Akhirnya Install windows 7 trial di partisi lain, install antivir, bersihin partisi yang kena virus.

Berhasil… virus gak jalan lagi di windows XP ku.

Sekarang mau coba connect lagi ke internet pake HP. Gagal…..

Connect pake 3g Modem. Gagal…..

Error 720: connection to remote computer could not be established……

Akhirnya coba pake :

1. masuk command prompt > ketik: netsh int ip reset “c:\reset.txt”

2. restart komputer.

Coba connect lagi via modem,… Berhasil….

Setting PHP Informix di windows

Kebetulan kemaren dapet jatah ngajar PHP + Informix. Akhirnya coba2 di virtual mulai dari install, sampe konfigurasinya. Sempet tanya2 karena nemu beberapa pesen, yah, kalo gak mau dibilang error yang muncul.

1. Tahap pertama, Install windows server 2003 di Virtual PC.
2. Langkah berikutnya, Install WampServer 2.0 / Wamp 5.
3. Install Informix. Untuk versi trial, atau versi gratis nya, bisa coba download di sini: http://www.ibm.com/software/data/informix. Buat proses instalasi informix, bisa dilihat di sini.
Untuk kasus di sini, kita sudah memiliki 1 instance Informix, namanya svr_informix. User name buat akses nya: user, Password nya: password. Dan sudah tersedia sebuah Database dengan nama DBSipeg, dengan beberapa tabel di dalamnya.
4. Install CSDK – Client SDK punya nya Informix, bisa download di sini.
5. Setting Environment Variables: Klik kanan My Computer > Properties. Di Tab Advance > Klik tombol Environment Variables. Klik New di bagian System Variables. Pada kotak Variable Name isikan: INFORMIXSERVER. Pada kotak Variable Value, isikan nama server, svr_informix.
6. Pastiin PHP extension dengan nama php_ifx udah di aktifin. Itu berarti file php_ifx.dll harus udah ada di folder ext dari program PHP, dan di file php.ini, di depan deklarasi extension=php_ifx.dll gak lagi dikasi tanda “;”.
7. Entah ada pengaruhnya ato gak, saya juga set di file php.ini, di bagian [Informix], saya tambahin keterangan di: ifx.default_host = svr_informix.

Abis itu, coba buat koneksi ke Informix nya dari PHP.

Aktifin service via command prompt

Karena pengen proses startup windows gak lemot, akhirnya beberapa service di set start nya manual. Tapi pas mau garap tugas, butuh beberapa service dijalanin, agak repot juga kalo harus masuk menu service, start satu persatu service yang dibutuhin. Akhirnya buat batch file yang isinya aktifin beberapa service windows yang dibutuhin.

Intinya di dalam batch file tadi saya eksekusi beberapa perintah untuk jalanin service, ya kurang lebih kayak gini:

rem — buat jalanin service mysql –
net start mysql
rem — buat jalanin named instance sql server express edition –
net start “sql server (sqlexpress)”

Uninstall Visual Studio 2008

Setelah beberapa hari bingung, gak berhasil uninstall Visual Studio 2008 Team Suite Trial yang udah abis masa berlakunya, akhirnya ketemu juga sama link uninstall VS 2008. Bisa cek ke link ini: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb968856.aspx
